The Cannery, Rosebery

We are pleased to have assisted The Cannery in their application secure an Interim Restaurant Authorisation (IRA) for their Rosebery based community cultural hotspot.

An IRA is available when the consultation process occurs during the Development Application (DA) process, and includes a notification of an intention to serve and sell liquor. Applicants seeking the grant of an on-premises (restaurant) licence or a small bar licence may be issued with an interim authorisation upon lodging their application with NSW Liquor and Gaming (NSWL&G), provided certain conditions are met. To be eligible, you must:

• apply online seeking standard trading hours (for small bars this is no later than 2.00am, and for restaurant operators it is no later 12 Midnight).
• have planning approval in place from the local consent authority that allows the use (i.e. the small bar or restaurant/café use).
• as part of the planning approval process, establish that the community were informed of the intention to serve alcohol as part of the public exhibition of the     development application.
• not apply for any authorisations on the liquor licence.
